I've always had positive experiences here, but I felt a little weird after the last two visits. For the first visit, I was just stopping in to leave a sample. I checked in at the desk and the girl who is always at the front said to have a seat and it would just be a minute. Almost an hour later, I was still waiting, and she opened the window and asked me what I was doing in the waiting room. I was really confused since she had greeted me and checked me in. She acted like she didn't know who I was or why I was there. I reminded her that I was just there to leave a sample and then I got called back immediately after that. At the second visit, I checked in with the same girl, and she stood up and looked over the desk and asked me if I "brought the baby." I was again confused and stated that I don't have a baby. She seemed disappointed and said that they live for Fridays at the office since that's when women with babies come in. I then noticed that I seemed to be the only non-mother present. I just felt like I was less important because I didn't have a baby. Thankfully I'm not struggling with infertility or child loss. I hope that the same thing never happens to a patient who is dealing with those issues, because that could be a very hurtful experience. Also, at this visit, I left another sample because I was having urinary pain. I got a call a few days later letting me know that it was negative for infection. I was still having severe symptoms, so I went to my primary doctor, and the sample they tested came back positive for blood, protein, and nitrites. I don't know if advanced women's healthcare uses an outside company to test urine, but y'all might want to be aware of this. I do overall really appreciate the care I've received at this office and do plan on continuing as a patient.
