Advanced Minimally Invasive Care

Minimally invasive options that are easier on you

At Advanced Women’s Healthcare of Waxahachie, Dr. Tracy Glass and Dr. Gregory P. Kroeger provide the most advanced, minimally invasive surgical options using laparoscopy to help you recover quickly and get on with your busy life. The minimally invasive procedures performed include:

  • Hysterectomy – vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic assisted
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Tubal sterilization
  • Endometriosis treatment
  • Pelvic pain diagnosis
  • Uterine fibroids removal
  • Pelvic adhesions
  • Removal of ovarian cysts/masses

Minimally invasive hysterectomy

Thanks to advances in minimally invasive surgery and our skilled surgeons, most of our surgical cases are performed either through the vagina with no abdominal incisions or laparoscopically with a few very small incisions. This means faster recovery with less pain, less bleeding, shorter hospital stay and a quicker return to normal activities.

Dr. Glass and Dr. Kroeger are trained in advanced robotic surgery allowing them to perform many complex and more difficult surgeries without the need for large incisions associated with traditional open surgery.

Troubled by heavy bleeding? Ask us about Novasure®

If you have completed your family and want to put an end to heavy, bothersome menstrual cycles, Novasure may be right for you. Novasure is a simple and safe device that is used to destroy the lining of the uterus that may be used as an alternative to hysterectomy in women who do not desire major surgery or long recovery periods. Following this procedure, many women no longer have menstrual cycles, although some will continue to have spotting each month, and a few may require further intervention. An advantage of Novasure is that it does not alter hormone production or induce menopause. Schedule a consultation to see if Novasure is right for you.

Hysteroscopy – When you desire to keep your uterus

Then under this subtitle please add: “When polyps or fibroids are found inside your uterus, they may contribute to heavy or irregular bleeding. A simple hysteroscopic procedure, called a myomectomy or polypectomy, can be done to remove that unwanted tissue and avoid more invasive procedures such as uterine ablation or hysterectomy.

Our surgeons employ the Myosure tissue removal system as an outpatient procedure, meaning you can return home on the same day and back to your normal activities in 2 days. This procedure is ideal for treating women with bleeding issues caused by intrauterine polyps or small fibroids that have a desire to retain a functional uterus.

A reputation you can trust

You can count on Advanced Women’s Healthcare of Waxahachie to keep you and all the females in your family healthy throughout your lives. And that’s a promise from our family to yours.
